King Arthur for PS2I liked this game because it follows the movie, and the horseback riding/fighting was unique and fun. I did not like the linear gameplay though. It would have been nice to have a little bit more freedom to roam.
However I do understand that was not the intended premise for this game. I bought this game because my husband is a history buff, and a big King Arthur fan.
We loved the movie so much, I wanted to get him the game to go with it. Gameplay time can range from 8-13 hours, and it is always sold at a reasonable price, so I would definately recomend this game to any King Arthur or medieval history fan. ExcellentThis game was excellent.
It has several modes in which you get to be different characters of the film. The sword fighting is comparable to the Lord of the Rings, for those who have played that game. It puts you right into the atmosphere of the film and I loved the fact that you get to fight alongside of your companions the whole time. The best part of the game was fighting from horseback. It gives you an incredible advantage as you can run over people and are able to make your horse rear up and kick back.
Slashing at enemies from up there is great. The only disadvantage of the game is that it is sometimes frustrating trying to fight off 10 guys that are surrounding you, but with skill and some luck, you can be part of the legend.

Great co-op game mode, so you don't have to play alone for the history mode and then in deathmatches with your pal.boorign features that some games of this style have.spoiling all the fun. Oooh i miss great titles like the all time classic FINAL FIGHT!!! Scenery and graphics are very nice, also the possibility to play ona horseback or by land following the movie story.
Nice HP system and possibility to upgrade you character. The only NEGATIVE thing is that you are bond to play with the characters of the level you need to play.
Fun and challengingLots of movie clips, pretty good graphics for a PS2 game. Too bad the actors did not complete the voices of their characters for this but it's a very enjoyable game! Story mode can be played as one player or two, there is also a versus feature you unlock as soon as you beat an entire story level. You unlock more as you go.

The problem is that sometimes you may be faced with a very touch level and you may have to try it a few times before you get it, but it's definitely not impossible to beat.
Hollywood's latest take on the legendary Knights of the Round Table has come and gone to both subdued critical acclaim and box office results. The $90 million-budgeted movie, which starred Clive Owen and the gorgeous Keira Knightley, retold the famous tale with an emphasis on gritty realism. Big on swords, but slim on sorcery, in other words. The Konami-published game of the same name takes a similar approach. Gamers will be able to control Arthur himself, or one of four other key characters, and battle it out with armies of primitive enemies.
The game definitely makes the best of a rather unimpressive movie license, seamlessly interspersing scenes from the film into cut-sequences, and the variety in gameplay types and environments is likewise well realized. VerdictKing Arthur is one of those games that are fun in short bursts, but the more you play them, the more you find yourself growing sleepy because of the formula. Developer Krome Studios has done a respectable job of bringing what was an unremarkable movie license to the videogame arena. The game is certainly more compelling than the movie.
The fight mechanics are for the most part well developed and intuitive, and both the five different, playable characters and RPG-like upgrade system are likely to draw some gamers in for awhile. And on top of everything else, there's a cooperative mode, too.
But in the end, not even these extras can mask the fact that everything said and done, the repetitive nature of this hack-and-slash title will eventually get the best of those who pursue it, and if it doesn't the unfair difficulty of some later levels probably will.Worth a rental.
